Collecting the required data (prices, promos/offers, etc.) from the supplier's website based on their interface and creating the cart by interacting with their UI using our scripts was the initial issue.
- Solution: For Collecting, we carefully examined the supplier's website. We observed the CSS selectors, and based on those selectors, we interacted with the UI of the supplier and fetched all the required data using our script.
The client wanted the cart creation within 30 seconds by adding ten products and fetching the cart summary for charges/discounts.
- Solution: For Performance, to achieve the time for creating the cart within 30 seconds, we used the APIs that the supplier used to display the data. We made API calls from our script to the supplier's website and grabbed the data to create the cart.
Then, finding the orders placed through the platform and getting all its details from the supplier's website, and passing it to the platform was a tough nut to crack.
- Solution: For order tracking, we checked with the supplier's website for the required orders and created an instance for the supplier's website from our script to fetch the required data as per the specific order.
