Edvorsa, a UK EdTech platform, worked with Bacancy to build an enterprise LMS platform on Base44, using React, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and Redis with GitHub Copilot and Base44 for AI-assisted development. Bacancy delivered a modular, scalable architecture with multi-role dashboards, a multimedia course builder, automated assessments and certification, secure JWT and OTP authentication, Stripe payments, and real-time analytics.

Scaling the LMS to Thousands of Concurrent Users

Edvorsa needed an enterprise LMS platform that holds up when thousands of learners log in, stream content, and submit assessments at the same time, such as during company-wide training pushes. A monolithic build would bottleneck on shared services and degrade for everyone once the load spikes.

Solution: Our Base44 developers built a modular LMS architecture on Base44 with independently scalable services, optimized APIs, and efficient load handling across the platform. Splitting responsibilities into separate services meant heavy areas, such as content delivery, assessments, and analytics, could scale without dragging down the rest, so the platform holds performance as concurrent usage climbs.

Flexible Course Management and Structured Learning Paths

Edvorsa’s training spans different formats, including video lessons, documents, and quizzes, and the team needed to assemble them into structured learning paths rather than standalone courses. A fixed, single-format course model would have forced manual workarounds for every new program.

Solution: We have developed a dynamic course builder that supports videos, documents, quizzes, structured modules, and reusable components, with content management across diverse learning workflows. Trainers can compose and reorder modules and reuse components across courses, which cuts the effort to launch new programs and keeps content consistent.

Secure Role-Based Access Across User Types

An enterprise LMS serves admins, trainers, and learners, each needing different permissions over the same data, so access control had to be strict and auditable. Weak or flat permissions would risk exposing learner records or letting the wrong role edit course content.

Solution: Our team implemented secure authentication using JWT with clearly defined role permissions, protected user data, and enforced access control consistently across every user type and system layer. Combined with OTP-based login via Twilio and bcrypt password hashing, this keeps sessions secure and scopes each role to exactly what it should see.

Real-Time Progress Tracking Without Performance Hits

Edvorsa wanted live learner-progress and reporting dashboards, but generating those reports on the fly against a busy database can slow the whole platform during peak usage.

Solution: Our team built real-time dashboards backed by fast queries, Redis caching, and a stable data flow, so reporting stays responsive even under heavy load. Caching frequently requested progress data takes pressure off the primary database and gives admins and trainers near-instant insight into learner activity.
