Challenges & Solutions

Ventryn Properties needed a secure method to manage sensitive credentials while following rigorous internal security policies.

  • Solution: Bacancy deployed a vault-based credential management system that encrypted credentials and verified them in real time. This provided secure management of sensitive information, limited access, and adherence to internal security policies and best practices for secure automation.

The housing systems (Yardi, MRI, Elite) used varying protocols for credential management and data retrieval.

  • Solution: Bacancy implemented a modular RPA workflow in Robocorp to address these differences. The solution involved bespoke credential validation logic for every system, allowing for secure integration while addressing differences in credential handling and data extraction processes.

Production system access was not available, which made it challenging to test workflows in a live environment.

  • Solution: Bacancy's expert RPA developers designed a mock-based test environment through detailed video walkthroughs and documentation. This method enabled workflows to be securely tested with mock data, without production access, to maintain high security and data isolation levels.

The new client addition process was slow as it required specific configurations in every environment.

  • Solution: Bacancy created a YAML-based configuration model that made it easier for new tenants to update. This configuration-based method minimized the number of core logic changes, allowing for quicker deployment and more streamlined onboarding for new clients.
