Uncontrolled provisioning, missing tags, and a lack of automation caused high costs, poor scaling and difficulty tracking underused resources.

  • Solution: Bacancy implemented resource tagging policies and automated audits using Lambda functions. This helped us to remove unused instances and volumes. EC2 instances were right-sized, auto-scaling rules were enforced and Cost Explorer dashboards with budget alerts provided real-time financial visibility.

Overly permissive IAM policies and the absence of centralized alerts increased the risks of data exposure and compliance failures.

  • Solution: Our cloud developers enforced least-privilege IAM roles, enabled MFA for all privileged users, and implemented real-time alerts via CloudTrail, AWS Config, and SNS. Compliance was ensured through automated HIPAA and CIS benchmarks, as well as regular audit log reviews.
