Ahmedabad, India – July 15, 2026 AI Club Gujarat held its first community meetup, AI, Chai & Big Ideas, at Bacancy Technology’s Ahmedabad office. Engineering leaders, developers, founders, students, and technology professionals attended a day of expert talks, a leadership panel, and open networking.
The event was not just about discussing AI hype; it was about getting leaders to think on one practical question: how businesses use AI in real projects today? The speakers built the answer across three sessions that followed a clear line. First, they mapped where AI creates value. Next, they showed how teams keep AI systems dependable. Then the panel shared how leaders make the decisions that support long-term adoption. The day wrapped up with an open networking hour, where the conversations from the sessions kept going, and attendees got to know each other over chai.
In the first session, the speakers examined how AI changes the way teams build software. They pointed out that coding assistants grab most of the attention, while the larger returns come from other parts of the work. Their four main points moved from everyday impact to long-term advantage:
In the second session, the speakers moved the focus from value to reliability. They stressed that the AI feature is the simple part, and the harder work starts once users depend on the system every day. They then described how engineering teams extend proven methods to manage the new risks that AI brings:
The leaders of the industry participated in the discussion and shared their insights about the real difficulties in adopting AI technology, ranging from resistance to change by teams to pressures of fast hiring and training. Everyone was convinced that having an AI-first company relies not only on technology but also on the company itself. Here are some of the conclusions drawn by the panelists:
Once the talk and the panel were over, the meetup allowed time for networking. The meetup then proceeded with an hour of free networking, where all the discussion was followed up by actual connections. Our AI experts shared knowledge from real project experience, attendees compared AI usage across various industries, and the hour brought founders, engineers, and students together through open introductions. A number of these discussions led to definite follow-up actions to take at the club’s upcoming meetups.
“AI rewards teams that stay curious and disciplined at the same time. The technology will keep changing, but sound engineering and clear judgment never go out of date. The teams that win will be the ones that keep learning together and turn every experiment into something their business can rely on.”
This event marked the beginning of an initiative by AI Club Gujarat, which will be an open platform where experts, start-ups, professionals, and students exchange information and collaborate to promote ethical usage of AI. The club intends to conduct frequent sessions of learning and networking as well as practical workshops. Through these events, personal skills are made collective and contribute towards making Gujarat a prominent AI center.
The program featured Chandresh Patel, Neel Shah, Ketan Nandani, Jignesh Patel, and Ravi Nandani. Each speaker shared a clear perspective on engineering leadership, AI strategy, or community building.
AI Club Gujarat brings together engineers, technology leaders, founders, students, and AI enthusiasts who support the practical and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence across the region. The community runs talks, workshops, and networking events throughout the year.
