Job Brief:

Bacancy Technology is seeking a Remote Patient Monitoring Developer to build RPM platforms that collect, transmit, and analyze patient health data from wearable devices and home monitoring equipment. The RPM market is expanding rapidly as healthcare shifts toward value- based care models. You will develop real-time data ingestion pipelines, clinical alert systems, and patient-facing mobile applications that enable providers to monitor chronic conditions, post- surgical recovery, and high-risk patients remotely.

Roles and Responsibility:

  • Design and develop RPM platform architecture including real-time data ingestion from wearable devices, home monitors, and IoT sensors
  • Build mobile applications (iOS/Android) for patient data capture, medication reminders, and clinical communication
  • Implement real-time clinical alerting systems that notify care teams when patient vitals exceed defined thresholds
  • Integrate RPM data with EHR systems using FHIR and HL7 standards for seamless clinical workflow incorporation
  • Develop dashboards for care teams to monitor patient cohorts, track adherence, and identify at-risk patients
  • • Implement HIPAA-compliant data transmission protocols for device-to-cloud communication (BLE, MQTT, HTTPS)
  • Design algorithms for trend detection, anomaly identification, and predictive analytics on continuous patient data streams
  • Ensure FDA compliance for Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) classification where applicable

Skill Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare software development, IoT applications, or connected device platforms
  • Experience with mobile app development (React Native, Flutter, or native iOS/Android)
  • Knowledge of IoT communication protocols (BLE, MQTT, Zigbee) and device integration
  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7) and EHR integration patterns
  • Understanding of HIPAA requirements for data in transit and at rest
  • Experience with real-time data processing and streaming architectures
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience with clinical workflow optimization
