About the Role Bacancy Technology is looking for an EMR/EHR Developer to build, customize, and integrate electronic health record systems that serve as the digital backbone of modern healthcare delivery. EHR systems manage every aspect of patient care — from clinical documentation and order entry to billing and population health analytics. You will develop custom EHR modules, build integrations between EHR platforms and third-party applications, and optimize clinical workflows to improve provider efficiency and patient outcomes.

Roles and Responsibility:

Develop custom EHR modules and extensions for Epic, Cerner, Allscripts, or open- source platforms (OpenMRS, OpenEMR)
Build bidirectional integrations between EHR systems and external applications using FHIR, HL7, and proprietary APIs
Design and implement clinical workflow optimizations including order sets, clinical documentation templates, and alert logic
Develop patient-facing features including patient portals, secure messaging, and online scheduling integrations
Build clinical reporting and analytics dashboards for quality measurement (HEDIS, CQM) and population health management
Implement role-based access controls and audit logging to ensure HIPAA compliance within EHR environments
Support EHR system upgrades, data migrations, and platform transitions with minimal clinical workflow disruption
Collaborate with clinical informaticists and physicians to translate clinical requirements into technical specifications

Skill Requirement:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, or related field
3+ years of EHR development experience with at least one major platform (Epic, Cerner, Allscripts)
Proficiency in programming languages used in EHR development (.NET/C#, Java, JavaScript, SQL)
Experience with healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7 v2, C-CDA) and integration patterns
Understanding of clinical workflows including CPOE, clinical documentation, and revenue cycle management
Knowledge of healthcare terminologies (ICD-10, CPT, SNOMED CT, LOINC)
Experience with SQL databases and healthcare data warehouse design
Strong collaboration skills for working with clinical teams and non-technical stakeholders
