Lucenna is an enterprise-grade investor and client portal built for private capital fund administration. The platform unifies investor reporting, fund data, documents, and communications into one secure, role-based system, bringing fragmented legacy portals with a single source of truth backed by configurable approvals, permissions, and audit-ready governance. Bacancy Technology helped design and build this platform from the ground up, bringing together disparate data sources, automating document and communication delivery, and implementing governed approval workflows, resulting in a more transparent, efficient, and compliance-ready experience for fund managers, administrators, and investors alike.
Unified investor and fund data from multiple disparate sources into one secure, multi-tenant portal
Supported both closed-ended (ILPA) and unitized/open-ended fund structures on a single platform
Delivered maker/checker approval workflows with full audit trails for governance and compliance
Integrated embedded Power BI reporting scoped per user with row-level security
The client's fund and investor data was spread across multiple disconnected sources, with no single system acting as a consistent source of truth. The lack of a unified interface and poorly organized data made it difficult to get a complete view of fund information, slowing down day-to-day operations and increasing the risk of errors.
Legacy investor portals functioned primarily as basic document repositories, offering limited visibility into holdings, transactions, commitments, and performance. Investors often had to navigate multiple portals and manage separate credentials across different funds to access the information relevant to them.
Document distribution and investor communications were handled manually and across fragmented channels, making it difficult for administrators to manage delivery at scale. There was also limited visibility into whether communications had been delivered, opened, clicked, or accessed by the intended recipients.
Reporting and sensitive data changes required stronger governance, but approvals, permissions, and control mechanisms needed to be managed without creating unnecessary friction in daily operations. The client needed structured workflows and audit-ready records to ensure the right people could review and approve changes while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
We consolidated fragmented fund and investor data into a centralized, multi-tenant platform, creating a consistent source of truth across accounts and funds. The platform was designed to support private investment structures, including both closed-ended funds with ILPA metrics and unitized or open-ended fund models.
Our fintech developers built a role-based portal experience that gives investors secure, consolidated access to their financial information. Through a single login, users can view fund details, holdings, commitments, transactions, performance metrics, documents, and communications based on their assigned permissions.
We integrated communication and document management capabilities to streamline how administrators distribute information to investors. SendGrid enabled email delivery with delivered, opened, and clicked tracking, while Twilio supported SMS and WhatsApp notifications. SharePoint and Azure Blob Storage provided secure document storage and SAS-authenticated access.
Our team designed configurable maker/checker workflows to bring stronger governance to sensitive data and communication changes. Administrators can configure approval rules for investor data, transactions, reporting periods, valuation dates, documents, communication templates, emails, and system notifications, with role-based permissions and two-step verification where required.
