The client’s customer data and documents became public due to a security issue, which was highly vulnerable.

  • Solution: The security issue was identified and fixed by our DevOps and Sr. Joomla developer assigned to the project. Developers fixed the issue using user-based security where only users can access their documents and nobody else.

The publicly accessed documents were in the Amazon S3 bucket, whose owner was the previous vendor. And hence, it became complicated to secure that data.

  • Solution: The client purchased their own AWS server and created an S3 bucket. Our developers developed an auto script using which they were able to move vulnerable and unprotected documents. The developers also ensured that the new documents were stored on the new server.
