Challenge

GameChanger’s initial version was developed by Jim Carol, an entrepreneur, in 2007. After diagnosis, his son was found suffering from leukaemia at age of 12. Jim observed that online content gave tangible help during recovery and treatment. Therefore, Jim decided to dedicate his life to spread this philanthropy all over the world.

He approached us to re-build GameChanger from the ground that has modern look and features. It should be capable to impact positively to improve care of children. As such, GameChanger app was requiring complete transformation that supports child’s family and has features for care givers. Another challenge was app should fetch and present meaningful entertainment content.

Solution

Our team came up a lean start-up approach to prioritize tasks and allocate budget. In order to fulfil demands, 6 types of content were needed: TV, YouTube, Live Streams, Educational, Music and Chat environment. To render these content, Amazon, Twitch, Mineplax and few other companies have co-partnered.

Software analyst at our company derived an excellent architecture and prototype. Based on it, we have written web-aggregator and state-of-the-art CMS. Both allow hospital admins to moderate the donated content with potential to help children come out from various diseases. They can access same profile content on TVs, mobiles and desktop computers without doing any special changes.

After 1 year of development and testing, app was released to several hospitals and charity organizations in USA. It successfully performed in curing and providing technical assistance to doctors. We are expanding its features to include VR(virtual reality) content. In upcoming months, GameChanger app will be integrated with VR Glasses and voice control devices.
